Our Mission is to provide spiritual guidance and physical assistance including shelter, food and vocational training to people in need, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to help them recognize and deal with their problems in a life changing manner.
Make your life more meaningful as you share the true spirit of helping others. God has blessed us so that we can be a blessing to those in need. “A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.” Proverbs 22:9 People just like you & me, driven by circumstances, homelessness, in crisis, desperation, and abandoned, every age group, every reason. Bread of Life Mission, even when full, won’t turn them away. Nearly all are alone. We will welcome them with open arms, because that is what Jesus would do.
Your partnership rescues many people out of disastrous circumstances and restores dignity.             Help share the true meaning of giving and help the Mission change lives.
Bread Of Life Mission Holbrook, Arizona
Thanks to you, many people with life stories similar to this have come to Bread of Life Mission and have experienced the life change that we all pray for them, and work to care for them. What you provide for these people truely is “loving your neighbor.” Thank you from the board, staff and so many people you have helped.
I started drinking at 14. Dad ruled with an iron fist, and mom tried to protect us. It was very confusing. Both of my parents were alcoholics. I was a hard worker, but lost jobs because of my drinking. I was a printer for 28 years. I’ve been married and divorced twice. For 12 years I’ve just been living life day to day. I became a Christian 5 years ago, but I was still a slave to alcohol. I was homeless and came to the Bread of Life Mission. I was immediately accepted and felt comfortable right away. I knew I was supposed to be here.
I was in horrible physical shape, but because of being at the Mission, I’ve been slowly getting healthy again. I could barely walk across the street, but now when the guys walk with me, they have a hard time keeping up! It’s like night and day. I joined the intern/Discipleship Program at the end of March. I work in the front office and I do Bible studies and counsel with the pastor. Now I can understand the Bible much better. I’ve been growing by leaps and bounds. During this time that I have been growing and changing, I’ve begun a relationship with 3 out of the 4 of my kids. It’s coming along. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m sharpening my skills and my self confidence is being restored. I’ve made healthy friendships here in Holbrook and am now going to two churches! The Lord has brought me a long way. This is exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’m saving money, learning to budget and am getting more and more stable each day. The Lord has always had a hand on me, but I when came to the Bread of Life, I forgave myself and that was BIG! Now I’m falling in love with Jesus more and more each day!
